As the last plot to be designed in Taizhou’s new CBD master plan, the six tower development provides a new gateway to the city while responding to, respecting, and reacting to the underlying master planning principles set forth in the city plan. The design strives to create a new standard for the modern workplace while simultaneously accommodating a human-scale, vibrant park-side public realm.
The design proposal’s clever floor plate arrangement provides maximum separation between the towers while also creating a powerful building composition. The four served office towers have a strong park-side address, heightening their value, while the two taller office towers detach themselves from the rest of the building composition in order for the massing to come all the way to the ground, creating an iconic pair of towers.

Reminiscent of the city of Taizhou’s official flower, the two office towers that anchor the site are comprised of four ‘petals’ that open up at the base of the building indicating the main entries. The aluminum metal frames that wrap these petals are exquisitely detailed, helping to showcase the tower’s unique form.

Podium Façade Design
Rough, warm-toned stone defines the podium façade of the mixed-use development. The stone is arranged in horizontal bands that reduce in size as it moves up the façade, seamlessly integrating with the towers’ glass curtain walls above. The stone provides a much-needed natural base to the otherwise heavily glazed project.

Office Arrival Experience
The office tower’s main drop-offs are marked by a dramatic inward facet in the tower’s geometry. In addition to the bold massing gesture, this provides more space at ground level offering workers a more comfortable arrival experience. A 9-meter-deep grand canopy offers cover for pedestrians and cars alike.

Façade Design
A complimentary mixture of sharp edges and soft corners give the mixed-use development its unique character. Recessed surfaces accentuate the building’s outline, while a simple façade design comprised of vertical fins on the office towers and horizontal louvers on the serviced apartment towers create a clean, sleek look throughout.
